Shock and Awe

Well after my not so good Memorial Day weekend, I was prepared for a small gain, or at least maybe maintenance this week at weigh-in. I was resigned to the fact that I'd just have to work a little harder next week to make up for it.

So imagine my surprise when the scale was down 1.6 pounds! I was so surprised! That makes a total of 14.6, so next week I should be crossing the 15 pound mark! That's definately some great progress for 4 weeks in!

As happy as I am with my loss, a part of me wishes I'd had some kind of consequence for eating crap. That sounds weird, I know, but it's like if I ate crappy & still lost, I don't want it to get in my head that that's an acceptable thing & will always happen if I eat junk for the weekend. I just gotta keep my head in the game & stick to it!

This Sunday is the WW Walk-It challenge. I guess for a couple months they've been encouraging people to train to walk or run a 5K. I obviously haven't been doing that since I just started (nor did my old meeting tell us anything about it), but I'm going to walk 5K in my neighborhood on Sunday, just to prove that I can. Once I drop some more weight, I'm going to give the C25K program a shot. We'll see how it goes!

Oh, and there's 3 more hours to enter my first giveaway, so head on over and enter to win!

Hi, I just found your blog through Biz's challenge. I'll be following you and I wish you well! I have a recipe blog as well as I just started a weight loss diary blog to try to get my butt in gear! Thanks!

The loss is still awesome! Great job!

I decided I'm going to do the walk on Sunday as well. There's a weight watchers 'multiplex' here, j/k but it is huge, and they are going to organize something. I guess they will set up signs, etc., for us to follow. I'm really excited about the (I can't remember if it's a sticker or charm) reward for finishing it!

wow. 14 lb in 4 weeks is GREAT. i really want to try that c25k as well...and they have an "extended version" that takes longer for people who need more time to reach that goal.

Congrats on your loss! You lost what I gained over Memorial Day weekend! I'm going to attempt the Walk-It Challenge this weekend eventhough I just started WW and I'm not sure I can walk even 1K.

Congrats on the weight loss!!! I know what you mean about a consequence for eating crap, LOL, if I eat a burger and fries and then lose I think I should keep eating the same thing every day. You're doing GREAT!!!

So I have to tell you that I got up earlire on Sunday to go do the walk-it challenge, drove about 15 miles to their center, and found it was closed. There was no one there, or any signs about the walk. I was so disappointed. I figured maybe they cancelled it because it was going back and forth with raining, but I would've thought people would prepare for that. I did. Anyways, I hope the walk went well for you!
